Personal data is collected in the password-protected license database in order to provide support or to contact you in the case of questions about the licensing. This includes contact data such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, information on your line of business and your business itself, as well as a password to be entered.
When you register for the password-protected dealer area, personal data will be collected in order to identify you as a seca trade partner. This includes your entry of a username and a password, the collection of contact information such as your name, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and information about your line of business and your business itself. You can also leave a comment for us.
You can apply for a position at seca online. In order to be able to process your application, we collect your contact information such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, as well as information about your earliest possible starting date and your desired salary per year. You can also attach your own files and send us a message.
There is no further use of the personal data beyond this unless the consent of the user is obtained in advance. Personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to be stored in order to fulfill this purpose.
The legal basis is the realization of pre-contractual measures, Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.
As a secacloud user, the following data is stored for the calculation of your body composition analysis:
- Name, date of birth, email,
- Health data, such as height, body weight, bioimpedance data including ethnicity, and other vital signs,
- Measurement data and time of measurement,
- Usage log files if you use seca myAnalytics
As a user of secacloud, the following data pertaining to you as a user is stored in seca analytics:
- Name, date of birth, email

4. "Tracking" in the password-protected dealer area, in the password-protected license database, and in the download area for seca emr flash 101 that is accessible through registration
In the password-protected dealer login area, in the password-protected license database, and in the download area for seca emr flash 101 that is accessible through registration, the personal data provided during the initial registration is additionally collected, stored, and used in the scope described below.
We perform what is known as "tracking," i.e. we record the user behavior of a user for as long as the user is logged in to the password-protected areas. User behavior includes the following, for example:

If you withdraw your consent, seca will delete all of your personal data. However, please note that if your data is deleted then under certain circumstances we may no longer be able to offer some or all of the services offered on our websites.
If you are using secacloud, you can terminate use of seca myAnalytics yourself at any time. Your personal data contained in the user ID will then be deleted and cannot be restored.
6. Safety measures for the protection of the data we have stored
Insofar as we collect personal data, we store it on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to it is only possible by a few specially authorized individuals who are involved in technical, customer, or content support. In order to prevent the loss or misuse of the data, we make use of extensive technical and operational security measures that are regularly checked and adapted to technical progress. However, please note that, due to the structure of the Internet it is possible that the rules of data privacy and the aforementioned security measures may not be observed by other individuals or institutions over which we have no responsibility. In particular, information that is provided without encryption, even if this is done by e-mail, can potentially be read by third parties. We do not have any technical influence on this. It is the users' own responsibility to protect the data that they are providing from misuse by using encryption or another method.
If you use secacloud, the data will be hosted in Germany at Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, unless you use the service in the USA, in which case the data in the USA will be hosted at Amazon Web Services in Oregon.
7. Use of "cookies"
We make use of "cookies" (small files with configuration information). These are primarily used to determine the number of visitors to our website and its frequency of use as well as to make your visit to our website simpler and more comfortable. It is also possible to use our website without cookies. Most browsers are preconfigured to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate cookies or set your browser so that it will notify you before saving cookies.
8. Disclosure to third parties
Due to legal requirements, in certain specific cases we are obligated to disclose your personal data to third parties. This is the case if there is a suspicion of a criminal offense or misuse of our website. In these cases we are obligated to disclose your data to the responsible law enforcement agencies.
