seca again named "Hamburg's Best Employer" in 2016

- For the second time since 2013, seca, the world leader in medical measuring and weighing, participated in Hamburg's Best Employers competition and again earned a top spot in 2016. Employees in the competing companies were surveyed and their answers analyzed by IMWF (Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung). The award was initiated by Professor Werner Sarges of Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg in conjunction with media partners Hamburger Abendblatt, JCDecaux and alster radio 106,8.

"We are very pleased that our company was once again a winner the second time we took part," said Managing Director Thomas Wessels. "As we are heavily involved in research, we can use this designation to attract qualified employees. Work-life balance plays a major role here and a positive employee evaluation is a very good argument in the highly competitive labor market."

The company's chosen course has begun showing signs of success with the hiring of several new employees since the beginning of this year. The medium-size enterprise seca is represented in the field of innovative medical products regionally and internationally. With a second production site in China, seca has a market share of 70% in Europe and more than 50% around the world with customers in more than 110 countries. Hospitals and medical practices make up the demanding target groups for the specialized provider, whose portfolio ranges from baby scales to networked bioimpedance measuring devices. "We offer exacting customers a platform that will maintain seca's market leadership for a long time to come," says Managing Director Frederik Vogel.

Results from the employee survey are now being analyzed thoroughly at seca with the goal of incorporating the findings in long-term planning. The honest feedback is greatly appreciated by the fourth generation management team at the family-owned company, where a good working atmosphere is considered a valuable asset for the world's market leader. "From such surveys we can see that our strategies work, and just as importantly, that we always share every success with our employees," says Managing Director Robert Vogel (Sales & Marketing), who manages the business with his brother Frederik Vogel (Technology & Development) and Thomas Wessels (Finances & Services).
