ONTARIO, Calif. (August 1st, 2007) - seca, the world’s market leader for medical scales, is launching its newly designed web site and a Nurses Portal this week at www.seca.com. The new site and Portal will provide valuable resources for nurses and health care professionals working in acute and primary care settings.
The newly-developed seca Nurses Portal supplies important information and expert advice from physicians and nurses on how to achieve best practices in weighing and measuring. Initially focused on the neonatal and pediatric settings, the Nurses Portal will help to ensure the health and safety of the world’s most vulnerable patients. Additional areas of expertise, including cardiology, burn and bariatric are expected to be added later this year.
Features of the new site and Nurses Portal include:

According to Jeff Mayes, executive vice president and general manager for seca North America, the newly designed web site is part of the company’s ongoing initiative to provide nurses and healthcare professionals with relevant information about the importance of obtaining accurate weights and measures when treating the world’s most vulnerable patients.
